„Live Evil“ von Black Sabbath [...] [hätte] es wohl auch unter die Top 20 geschafft.

Das heißt, du findest Live Evil besser als jedes BS-Studioalbum? Und kein Studioalbum gut genug für die Top 30? Was hat Tony Iommi dir getan?

Und ja, ich mag die Dio Besetzung sehr gerne und ich höre viel und gerne Livealben. Insofern ist auch mein liebstes und meist gehörtes Album mit Studioaufnahmen von Black Sabbath die „Ultimate Collection“. Am Ende sind diese Listen für mich immer spontane Entscheidungen. Obwohl ich Listen mag und auch ein sehr geordneter Mensch bin, gehöre ich nicht zu denen, die da sehr wissenschaftlich drangehen

Die beiden Queensryche Alben sind in den letzten Jahren ein bisschen bei mir untergegangen. Früher habe ich die auch sehr viel gehört. Müsste ich einfach noch mal auflegen. Ich habe auch lange mit mir gekämpft, ob ich nicht eines der neueren Alben von Iron Maiden noch in meiner Liste unterbringe, wobei ich die „Senjutsu“ noch stärker höre als „The Book of Souls“.

Ich bin auch einer derjenigen, bei denen "Senjutsu" gut ankommt. Sie hat immerhin ****+ und würde in einer Top 100 wohl drin sein.

Das kann ich mir vorstellen.
Die hat mei mir erst in den letzten paar Jahren alle anderen überholt. Late bloomer.

Frage an die Experten: Sind Grand Funk, Threshold, Fates Warning, Armored Saint, Atlantean Kodex dem Heavy Metal zu zuordnen? Und wo zieht man die Grenze zum Hardrock?

also für mich wars immer eher der blues-einfluss: starker blues-einfluss: hardrock, wenig blues: metal

deshalb für mich: deep purple, ac/dc, guns'n'roses, led zeppelin, auch motorhead: hardrock

schwierig wirds natürlich beim ersten black sabbath album, das sind zum teil noch (meiner ansicht nach schwache) bluestracks... auch frühe judas priest sind wohl eher blues
