Ja, ob eine Kapelle eher in die Metal oder Hard Rock Sparte passt, ist nicht immer so einfach. Bei Motörhead oder Rainbow z.B. gibt es geteilte Meinungen. Manchmal sind es vielleicht nur bestimmte Alben die in eine bestimmte Sparte passen.

Schöne Liste, 14 Alben habe ich auch. Mit Prog Metal hast du es wohl nicht so, außer Queensryche. Wie ist es mit Dream Theater, Theshold und Fates Warning, nur mal die bekanntesten genannt.

Doch ich mag Prog Metal definitiv. Es gibt ja mehr Prog-Bands ausser Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Queensryche etc. Tool z.B. ist Prog. Meshuggah haben auch ihre Prog Anleihen.

Noch als Anmerkung: hätte ich Live Alben mit berücksichtigt, wäre Slayer mit „Decade of Aggression“ auf dem ersten Platz gelandet und auch noch ein paar andere wie „Life after Death“ von Iron Maiden, „Live Evil“ von Black Sabbath und „Showtime, Storytime“ von Nightwish hätten es wohl auch unter die Top 20 geschafft.

Das heißt, du findest Live Evil besser als jedes BS-Studioalbum? Und kein Studioalbum gut genug für die Top 30? Was hat Tony Iommi dir getan?
