Genesis had massive and prolonged pop success in the ’80s. King Crimson had a period of artistic flourishing to rival anything they’d accomplished in the previous decade. Yes had “Owner of a Lonely Heart.” It was not only their biggest hit but their last. Nothing else would come close. But then, nothing could.
Pitchfork feiert Yes's Owner of a lonley heart ab. Zu recht. Ich fand den damals schon sensationell. Muss mir mal wieder das Album anhören.
Finde ich prima, dass die einzelnen Songs ausführliche Reviews widmen.

Heiliger Strohsack, die alten Jungs haben es immer noch sowas von drauf. Müsste man es in aller Kürze und schlagmäßig beleuchten: ein echtes Purple-Album.
Diese geilen Keyboards, eine Wucht. Leute, zuschlagen, zuschlagen, zuschlagen.
Übrigens: ich bin sicher, einige Leute kennen noch Revox. Ja, die schweizer Bandmaschinen.
Revox produziert das Album als Compact Kassette, für die einzig wahren Vintage-Fans natürlich.
Und dann das da: selten so eine coole Bandmaschine gesehen, sie lebt.
