Eure Album Top 100

Deine Nr. 7. Ich habe die dem Namen nach schon gehört, kenne aber musikalisch von denen gar nichts. Ich habe irgendwie so das Gefühl, dass die in die Top 10 so gar nicht richtig reinpassen wollen.
Und dann noch von Jethro Tull "Heavy Horses" als einziges Tull-Album in deinen Top 100. Für mich ein ordentliches, gutes Album von Tull, aber für Dich tatsächlich ihr bestes ?

@Mr. Blue : Zu "Heaven up here": Ist halt das einzige Album aus den Eighties in meiner Top 10 und zumindest in der Hinsicht sicherlich ein Außenseiter darin. Allerdings könnte man das stilistisch oder ein Genre betreffend auch z.B. von Led Zeppelin oder T. Rex sagen, dass die in meiner Top 10 ein wenig für sich alleine stehen.

Zu "Heavy horses": Ja, wie dieses Ranking zeigt, ist das Album mein liebstes von Tull. Schon seit geraumer Zeit. Ich liebe die Atmosphäre dieses Albums und das Gefühl von Ruralem und Idylle, das es mir vermittelt. "Aqualung" und "Songs from the wood" folgen auf den Plätzen, aber mit respektvollem Abstand.

07. Echo and the Bunnymen - Heaven up here

Schön, dass es dieses Album noch immer in deiner TOP 10 gibt. Ich finde es äußerst sympathisch, wenn es in einer TOP 10 ein Album gibt, welches nicht zur sonstigen Kohärenz passt.

Ich fand bei Tom Liwa schon den Vorgänger eine Rückkehr zur Form. Vieles auf „Primzahlen“ bezieht sich textlich ja auch auf ihn.
Auf „Primzahlen“ spielt aber die Band nochmal stärker auf und Luise Volkmann am Saxophon als sozusagen zweite Leadstimme ist fantastisch.

Antonys Stimme wird mich immer berühren, vor allem in „Hope There‘s Someone“.

Eien Frage hätte ich off topic. Warum zitiert ihr bei jeder Antwort die komplette Top 100 mit, um die es geht? Für die Lesbarkeit empfinde ich das als suboptimal.

@lysol: Meine Schnittmenge mit deiner Top 100 ist relativ gering. Es sind in Summe 29 Alben, die ich auch besitze. Mitunter überraschen mich einzelne Alben, die du von bestimmten Künstlern ausgewählt hast, so z.B. das zweifellos beeindruckende "Blackstar" als dein Bowie-Favorit. Und auch, dass ein Album aus dem laufenden Jahr schon Einzug in die Top 100 gehalten hat. "My days of 58" muss ja ziemlich eingeschlagen haben.
