--The title of 1980 single “Is Vic There?” derives from a Monty Python sketch entitled “Phone-In”, which appeared on the comedy troupe’s 1973 album Matching Tie and Handkerchief. In the sketch, Eric Idle hosts a phone-in about farming which descends into farce; the first caller (Carol Cleveland) enquiring “Is Vic there?”--
