Das Album, das ich 2002 am häufigsten gehört habe. Mit Abstand. Bestimmt so oft wie The Ballad of Darren im Erscheinungsjahr.
Zweifellos ein schönes Album. Wobei mir "Palindrome hunches" von Halstead noch besser gefällt.
Ich weiß. Verstehe ich nicht.
Wüsste ja gerne, wo Neil Halstead sein (Bert-Jansch-)Birthday-Blues-T-Shirt her hat.

But the use of African rhythms and a politically compassionate lyric on "Somali" demonstrates McShee and Jansch could still move into unexpected directions.

Das sarkastische Meisterwerk, mein Highlight in seinem Katalog. Ja "It's Lonely At The Top"....

Und der Solodurchbruch von Lou Reed, produziert von David Bowie zu Ziggy-Hochzeiten. Was für ein Jahrgang!

Und danach dann den Meister selbst. EIne Platte, die vielleicht nicht "the most sophisticated" seiner Karriere ist, die aber auch nach 54 Jahren immer noch Spaß macht.
