The lead single for the Stones’ new album is titled “In The Stars,” and will be released tomorrow, May 5th. A music video is expected to accompany the track, rumored to showcase a vintage 1970s style.
All signs continue to position “Foreign Tongues” as a throwback follow-up to the modern masterpiece of “Hackney Diamonds.” The Frankenstein-like art that has everyone talking will indeed be the album cover, embracing the band’s unapologetic in-your-face attitude.
Most bands of eighty-year-olds would choose a more reserved album cover to be safe, so this bold choice feels like a refreshing revival of the Stones rebellious style. It’s without a doubt one of the boldest visual statements they’ve made in decades.
The album will feature 14 tracks, including a second single titled “Jealous Lover.” Mick Jagger is expected to join @jimmyfallon on @fallontonight this Wednesday 5/6.
